Wieninger Wines at the Opera Ball

Guests at this year’s Opera Ball in Vienna will be able to enjoy some wines from our wine estate – such as the Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC Ried Falkenberg (1.ÖTW Logo) 2018; the Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC Ried Ulm Nussberg 2014, and – in the disco area – the Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC.

All wines at this Ball of Balls will be exclusively from member wineries of the Österreichischen Traditionsweingüter (Austrian Traditional Wine Estates). These wines, made from vineyards classified as Erste Lagen, are classics that serve as ambassadors of Austrian wine culture. At all levels of the opera house – in the loges, on the tables and in the wine bars – the Erste Lagen wines from six wine regions will be offered, with Vienna represented by Fritz Wieninger. The Opera Ball sommelier, Adi Schmid, together with Maria Großbauer, were responsible for the wine selection process.
